The Writer

"A writer writes not because he is educated but because he is driven by the need to communicate. Behind the need to communicate is the need to share. Behind the need to share is the need to be understood." -Leo Rosten

Why do you write? What motivates you to share?

  2. For me, I write to share stories and ideas. Sometimes I write to understand what I can't quite communicate.

  3. I often write because I am personally searching for words to describe the indescribable. (not that half of what I write personally EVER sees sunlight)

It's not so much the vowels, consonants or my army of dangling participles . . . its how I feel about it when I am finished. And of course the extraordinary journey to find my or misplaced modifiers. ;)
